This single-origin Goko is grown in Wazuka, Kyoto Prefecture. It is characterized by its strong sweetness and umami flavour. Each serve of this tea can be brewed up to three times.

The first brew has almost no astringency or grassy smell, and the rich umami, sweetness, and mellow aroma will stimulate your senses. Even in the second brew, there is almost no astringency, and while the umami flavours and sweetness remains, you can enjoy the mellow texture and the refreshing side of Goko.

Wazuka-cho has continued the tradition of producing high quality tea for over 800 years. The region's climate makes it is prone to fog which helps block direct sunlight from reaching the tea leaves. The tea leaves are also covered in shade for 14 days prior to harvesting. This protection from the sun reduces bitterness and produces a sweet, umami rich tea.

Kabuse sencha is rich in catechins, theanine amino acids, antioxidants and vitamin C.

Each packet contains 50g.

Last of the 2023 harvest reduced to clear.
