Hagi Yaki Sake Cup | Yohen
Hagi Yaki Sake Cup | Yohen
This was a one of a kind vessel. If you are looking for something similar, you can find more stunning pieces by Makino-san in his collection.
While only a single ash glaze was used on this sake cup, it features hues of blue, pink, and white. Blues form as the glaze interacts with the iron in the clay and the kiln's flames turn the white glaze to an array of pastel pink tones. This unique piece displays a full range of the yohen colour changes that happen with a wood fire kiln.
This piece is a completely unique piece by Masanori Makino.
Capacity: 50ml
The cup comes in a custom made wooden box signed by Makino-san.
