Shira Hagi Bowl
Shira Hagi Bowl
These deep bowls exhibit a wabi sabi style. The edges bend forming an imperfect circle.
The white ash glaze is splattered by hand creating a unique pattern on every bowl. This rustic bowl was the first piece we picked up when exploring the kiln gallery in Hagi.

Senryuzan Kiln
For nearly 200 years, Senryuzan Kiln has been a custodian of traditional Japanese ceramic craft. The small collective of artists honours the traditional spirit and cultures of Hagi yaki.
Each Senryuzan Kiln vessel is crafted using traditional Hagi yaki clays, techniques and ash glazes before being wood fired in their climbing kiln.
Every piece represents their traditional approach to Hagi yaki.
