This Okumidori is grown in full sunlight in Wazuka, Kyoto Prefecture. It is a fun variety with a deep sweetness as soon as you put it in your mouth, and a refreshing and sharp bitterness in the aftertaste. It is characterised by a moderately nutritious taste and a more gorgeous aroma than other teas. This Okumidori is one of the most popular teas at YUGEN's Kyoto tea bar. 

Each serve can be brewed up to three times. 

Wazuka-cho has continued the tradition of producing high quality tea for over 800 years. The region's climate makes it is prone to fog which helps block direct sunlight from reaching the tea leaves. This protection from the sun produces high quality, sweet tea leaves.
