Hagi Yaki High Plate
Hagi Yaki High Plate
This wide plate features a high rim. The glaze's interaction with the kiln flames produces a wonderful array of cool greys, pink hues, and the occasion hint of soft blues. The plate's unique shape is perfect as a pasta dish, serving plate or even as a fruit bowl.
As each item is handmade, slight size, spotting and colour variations may exist between items.

Senryuzan Kiln
For nearly 200 years, Senryuzan Kiln has been a custodian of traditional Japanese ceramic craft. The small collective of artists honours the traditional spirit and cultures of Hagi yaki.
Each Senryuzan Kiln vessel is crafted using traditional Hagi yaki clays, techniques and ash glazes before being wood fired in their climbing kiln.
Every piece represents their traditional approach to Hagi yaki.
