These wonderful teacups feature the distinctive soft grey glaze that gives this style its name – “nezumi” meaning “mouse” in Japanese. The delicate texture of this glaze differs from the rougher touch that the other styles of Shinoyaki often produce.
One of the best known ceramic styles from the Mino region, shinoyaki ceramics are still highly regarded across Japan.
Each piece is handcrafted. Slight variations in shape and glazes make every piece its own unique vessel.
